Raleigh, N.C. — Cool fall weather will prevail throughout North Carolina for at least the next week.
Thursday started a pattern of dry, cool weather, with a high in the low 60s and a low in the 40s. Winds gusted up to 30 mph during the day.
Clear skies and similar temperatures stretch out for the rest of the seven-day forecast.
"It'll stay cool through the weekend and into next week," WRAL Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.
By the start of the next work week, the daily highs will begin to creep back up into the lower 70s.
