What is the earliest, latest and greatest snow falls we have had here in the Raleigh area?

MIKE MOSS SAYS:      Jay,   The earliest trace of snow (not measurable) has been on October 24th, most recently in 1910. The earliest measurable snow was .6 inches on Nov 6, 1953. The latest measurable snow was 1.8 inches on April 18, 1983, and the latest trace of snow was on May 2, 1939. The biggest snowfall from a single storm was 20.3 inches on Jan 24-25, 2000, and that storm included the most snow on a single calendar day, which was 17.9 inches on the 25th.
