The search continues for the person who used a crossbow to shoot an arrow through the window of a Raleigh couple’s home near North Hills.

It was a rude awakening for Joy Phillips and her husband early Sunday.“We just heard a crash. We were both asleep and all the lights were out, and I got up and saw there was an arrow laying in the floor of the bathroom,” described Phillips. She and her husband then ducked to safety and called 911.“We were scared. We really were scared, so we stayed away from the windows and went in the hallway not knowing what was going on,” she said.Someone had shot an arrow through the couple’s bathroom window, hitting the blinds and cabinets. The arrow barely missed their bedroom window.“If it had been one window over, it would have hit us on the bed, and if we’d been in the bathroom it would have hit us in the head,” Phillips said. She added that she saw something strange that morning, leading her to believe it was accident.“I saw a flashlight moving, and I didn’t know what was going on, but now I’m thinking they were looking for this arrow,” she added. The couple said they’re grateful for the outcome.“I think God protects us for sure,” said Phillips. She said that she hoped whoever did this will come forward.Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Raleigh Police Department.
