WCPSS announces passing of Millbrook Magnet High School principal
The Wake County Public School System announced on Saturday that longtime Millbrook High School Principal Dana King had passed away.

School leaders said King passed away on Saturday morning.
According to Millbrook Magnet High School's website, King became principal in 2003. Prior to that, King served as principal at East Millbrook Magnet Middle and worked at Athens Drive and Sanderson high schools.
King was named Wake County's Principal of the Year in 2010.
In a letter sent to WCPSS staff, school leaders said King had a "positive, long-lasting impact on students, staff, parents, our community and our district."
