Wayne authorities searching for woman who went missing on Fourth of July

Wayne County authorities are seeking the public's help to find a Wallace woman who was last seen on July 4.

DUDLEY, N.C. — Wayne County authorities are seeking the public's help to find a Wallace woman who was last seen on July 4. 

According to investigators, 49-year-old Patsy Mitchell McMillan disappeared after being dropped off at a bus terminal on U.S. Highway 117 South in Dudley. 

McMillan traveled to Goldsboro on July 3 to visit relatives, and she was taken by a relative to the bus terminal on July 4. McMillan told the relative she was going to New York City. 

McMillan is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She has salt-and-pepper hair, brown eyes, and she was last seen wearing brown capri pants, a red and orange tank top and brown sandals. 

McMillan wears prescription glasses, and she also has a gold outline around one of her front teeth, police said.
