Water main break forces north Raleigh detour

Raleigh officials closed part of Sandy Forks Road Monday afternoon to repair a broken water main.

RALEIGH, N.C. — City officials closed part of Sandy Forks Road Monday afternoon to repair a broken water main.

The 12-inch main was repaired by 10 p.m. Monday, officials said. Customers affected by the break included tenants of The Lakes Apartments and property owners along Sandy Forks Road between Shanda Drive and Brookhollow Drive.

Sandy Forks Road was temporary closed at The Lakes Drive between the two entrances to The Lakes Apartments. A traffic detour sign was posted.
