DURHAM, N.C. — A water main break in Durham Wednesday afternoon forced officials to close an intersection in order to make repairs.

The incident was at the corner of Jackie Robinson Drive and Blackwell Street at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park and happened around 1 p.m. Wednesday. You could see water spilling onto the intersection as crews worked to turn it off.

Repairs were made to fix the line but the city won't repave the intersection until Thursday, meaning the area would be shut down until sometime Thursday afternoon.

We reached out to the City of Durham to find out the cause of the leak.
