GARNER, N.C. — Police are investigating the recent death of a 9-month-old girl in Garner as a possible case of child abuse or neglect, according to search warrants released Tuesday.

The baby was sleeping with her father in an apartment at 207 Westcroft Drive on Nov. 15, and he came out of the bedroom with the unresponsive child, according to applications for warrants to obtain blood samples from the 33-year-old father and the 29-year-old mother.
