Warrant: Woman armed with sword steals $150 from Cary dry cleaners

A woman was arrested Tuesday after an armed robbery at a Cary dry cleaners.

CARY, N.C. — A woman was arrested Tuesday in connection with an armed robbery at a Cary dry cleaners in which she allegedly demanded cash while wielding an 18-inch sword, according to an arrest warrant.

Chloe Marie Martinez, 23, of Planetree Lane in Cary, has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon following the incident at Kwons Crescent Commons Dry Cleaners, located at 2052 Kildaire Farm Road in the Harris Teeter and Walmart shopping center across the street from Waverly Place, according to the warrant.

Martinez robbed the dry cleaners of $150 in cash and threatened the owner with an 18-inch sword, the warrant states.

The robbery and arrest occurred on the same day, according to the warrant. The time of the incident was not provided.
