Warrant: Raleigh daycare worker grabbed 1-year-old child by throat, charged with child abuse

A Raleigh woman was charged with assault on a child younger than 12 years old and misdemeanor child abuse.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh daycare worker was charged with assault on a child and misdemeanor child abuse.

Arrest warrants say that Christine Eaves, 51, grabbed a 1-year-old child by the throat for around two seconds with her hands.

Eaves was being held at the Wake County Justice Center under a $5,000 bond.

Officials did not make public which daycare facility Eaves worked at.
