The North Carolina Bar Association is holding “Ask a Lawyer” day Friday. 

Anyone in North Carolina can call and talk to a lawyer for free from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The toll-free numbers are <strong>1-888-722-0407, 1-800-289-0013 and 1-866-616-4255</strong>.

The Association says they expect a heavy volume of calls and that callers should continue to try the number if they cannot get through.

More than 500 lawyers from across the state are participating. Callers will not be asked to give their name or contact information.
