If getting fit will be in your plans for 2019, you might want to check out the Women's Wellness, Nutrition and Fitness Expo, hosted by Raleigh's parks department.

It's 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Jan. 12, at Method Community Park, 514 Method Rd.

Here's a description: "This wellness, fitness and nutrition expo is for women of all ages and is geared towards helping you become motivated and inspired to take control of your health by moving more. This event will include workout sessions, strength training, health screenings, and health vendors. We want to educate and encourage good nutrition, fitness, and disease prevention. Come dressed to workout, an exercise mat, towel and enjoy a fun-filled day."

It's for ages 18 and up.
