Wake school bus wrecks in Raleigh; no injuries reported

A Wake County school bus carrying 41 students was involved in a crash near U.S. Highway 401 and Perry Creek Road in Raleigh, just before 6:45 a.m., according to police and school officials.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Wake County school bus carrying 41 students was involved in a crash near U.S. Highway 401 and Perry Creek Road in Raleigh, just before 6:45 a.m., according to police and school officials.

No injuries were reported, said Wake County public schools' spokesman Michael Evans. The bus was headed to Wakefield High School.

A WRAL photographer at the scene said there was no visible damage to the bus and that traffic was clear by 7:30 a.m. No other information was available.
