RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities have seized computers, other electronics and DVDs from the home of a Wake County man facing child sex charges, according to search warrants released Tuesday.
Paul Lee Dwyer, 52, of 2700 Auburn Knightdale Road, was arrested last month on two counts each of first-degree sex offense with a child and statutory rape, three counts of statutory sex offense with a child and one count of indecent liberties with a child.

According to arrest warrants, Dwyer had sex with a girl over a four-year period, from February 2011 until December 2015, and the girl was under age 13 for part of that time.

The girl told investigators that Dwyer had shown her sexually explicit photos of children, so Wake County deputies searched his home last week and seized several digital cameras, laptop and tablet computers, external hard drives, SD cards, cellphones and 19 rewritable DVDs and CDs, according to search warrants.

Investigators also found a box in the house containing records of a military investigation, showing that Dwyer had been discharged from the Air Force for misuse of government computers and child pornography, the search warrants state.

Dwyer remains in the Wake County jail under a $5 million bond.
