Wake man charged in sexual attack of man
A Wake County man with a history of assault convictions is accused of attacking and sexually abusing another man within five days of his latest release from jail.
Posted — UpdatedGeorge Michael "Booty" Brown, 49, of 323 E. Vance St. in Zebulon, trespassed in the victim's home on Friday, struck him on the face with his fist and "feloniously did engage in a sex offense ... by force and against that victim's will," arrest warrants state.
Brown was charged with first-degree sexual offense, misdemeanor second-degree trespassing and misdemeanor assault inflicting serious injury.
He was placed in the Wake County jail under a $505,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.
Brown was released from jail on June 12 after serving four months for a misdemeanor assault on a female conviction, according to state Department of Correction records.
He has a total of 14 misdemeanor convictions dating to 1982, including six counts of assault on a female and others for carrying a concealed weapon and larceny, records state. He has served three jail sentences totaling nearly nine months.
