Wake Forest police investigating after homes damaged by gunfire
Wake Forest police say two homes in town were recently damaged from gunshots and they're looking for those responsible.

The homes, which aren't believed to be the targets of the shooters, were in the Del Webb at Traditions neighborhood. Wake Forest Police Chief Jeff Leonard said the homes were damaged by stray bullets. No one was injured.
Police believe the homes may have been shot at by people hunting or shooting during target practice.
“These stray bullets are completely unacceptable, and it’s extremely fortunate that nobody was hurt in either of these cases,” Chief Leonard said. “Our officers are actively investigating these incidents, but I want to remind everyone that owns a firearm of the critical obligation they have to be mindful of the safety of others when shooting their guns.”
The neighborhood is described on its website as an 'active retirement community.'
