Wake Forest, N.C. — The Board of Commissioners on Tuesday heard arguments for amending the city’s livestock ordinance, Commissioner Margaret Stinnett said.
The ordinance would allow a limited number of hens, but prohibit roosters.
Stinnett said the new ordinance will make sure chickens will not be used for commercial purposes.
Commissioners are expected to vote on the new ordinance in September.
