WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Wake Forest parks is launching an online esports league for kids ages 13 to 17 and adults ages 18 and up.

The cost is $10 per league, and you must have one of the following gaming consoles to participate: Rocket League Computer, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and/or XBOX One, according to the town.

Participants will face a new opponent each week for six weeks in a best two out of three games to decide the winner, according to the description. The season runs from Aug. 12 to Sept. 24.

Shawn Monday, a recreation specialist, tells me that you do not have to be a Wake Forest resident to participate.

You can register for the league via the Mission Control app. Wake Forest's website has more information about how to do that.
