Wake Forest driver swerves to avoid hitting deer, slams into tree
A driver said he swerved to avoid a deer when he lost control of his car on Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — A driver said he swerved to avoid a deer when he lost control of his car on Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest.
The car, which was headed northbound, traveled across the center divider, both southbound lanes then down an embankment and into a tree. The driver suffered only minor injuries but was transported to the hospital.
Speed and alcohol may have contributed to the accident, according to Wake Forest police.
No charges were filed against the driver.
