Raleigh, N.C. — The Wake County school system is on the verge of getting some big refunds.
County commissioners and school board members are working this week to take advantage of a state law that allows counties to claim refunds on state sales tax.
The school system plans to temporarily transfer the deeds of future school sites to the county to get money back on materials, furniture and computers.
