RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man is facing 10 counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor for dissemination sexual images and videos of children.

Benjamin Michael Lineberger was arrested on Tuesday after the execution of a search warrant at his residence. He was suspected of participating in the dissemination of images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation of children.

Lineberger was being held in the Wake County Detention Center under a $500,000 bond.

Anjanette Grube, Public Information Officer with the SBI, said Lineberger had been previously charged with similar offenses in Lincoln County and was already a registered sex offender at the time of his arrest.

Grube said the arrest was the result of a joint investigation conducted by Homeland Security Investigations, the NC SBI, the US Marshals Service, the Raleigh Police Department and the Cary Police Department, through a partnership in the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
