Wake County man charged with stabbing girlfriend
A Wake County man has been accused of stabbing his girlfriend in the chest with a butcher's knife, according to an arrest warrant.
Posted — UpdatedThe warrant states that Elmer Fernandez Solis-Hernandez, 30, of 4920 Reconciliation Drive, stabbed his girlfriend on Saturday.
Solis-Hernandez was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
He was placed in the Wake County jail and denied bond under a domestic violence hold. His first court appearance was set for Monday morning.
The U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency also placed Solis-Hernandez, a Honduran native, under a detainer while it investigates if he's in the country legally.
