A Wake County man was charged Thursday with illegal sex acts against a minor.



A Wake County man was arrested and charged Thursday with illegal sex acts against a minor.

Herman Davis, 55, was charged with three counts of statutory rape of a child, three counts of taking indecent liberties with children and one count of first-degree statutory sex offense.

The alleged assault, which involved a girl, was reported to the Wake County Sheriff's Office on June 11.

Davis was being held in the Wake County Detention Center under a $6 million bond.
