Wake County holding school bus driver job fair, offering $1,200 in signing bonuses
The Wake County Public School System is holding a bus driver job fair on Wednesday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Public School System is holding a bus driver job fair on Wednesday.
Interested applicants will need to bring their North Carolina Drivers License number to start the screening process. Participants can meet Transportation Team members at several member schools and learn more about becoming a school bus driver in the district.
The district has approved up to $1,200 in signing bonuses for new drivers. The fair lasts from 9 a.m. through noon.
There are 21 schools offering drive-thru options for applicants.

Earlier this month, district officials shared they anticipate having around 700 bus drivers on staff next year, but need to recruit 85 more.
