CLAYTON, N.C. — A Wake County Sheriff's Office deputy was injured in a multi-car crash in Johnston County on Friday.

The crash happened at the intersection of Buffalo and Jordan-Narron roads in Clayton.

The State Highway Patrol said the deputy's car was hit by another driver who failed to yield to the right of way. The deputy's car then spun and hit a third car.

The deputy was taken to WakeMed but should be OK, according to law enforcement.

The Highway Patrol said charges are pending in the crash.
