Wake Co. offers flu shots

Most residents will pay $30 for a flu shot and $50 for a pneumonia shot.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Department of Human Services began offering flu shots Monday at four locations.

Most residents will pay $30 for a flu shot and $50 for a pneumonia shot. No appointment is required.

Those eligible for a free vaccination are:

  • Children between 6 and 59 months old.
  • Uninsured pregnant women and
  • Children between 5 and 18 years old, who are eligible for Medicaid, are at a high risk for flu complications or who live in a household with someone who is at high risk for complications from the flu
The clinic at 4011 Carya Drive in Raleigh is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on:
November 3, 4, 11, 13, 18, 20, 24 and 25;
December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30.

The clinic at 350 E. Holding Ave. in Wake Forest is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on
November 5, 12, 19 and 26;
December 3, 10, 17 and 31.

The clinic at 1002 Dogwood Drive in Zebulon is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on
November 7, 14 and 21;
December 5, 12 and 19.

The clinic at 130 N. Judd Parkway NE in Fuquay-Varina is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on
November 4, 18 and 25;
December 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.
