Wachovia bank robbed in Raleigh

Authorities are searching for the person who robbed a Wachovia bank in Raleigh Tuesday afternoon.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Authorities are searching for the person who robbed a Wachovia bank in Raleigh Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery happened just after 5 p.m. at the 6623 Falls of Neuse Road branch location.

Police described the suspect as a black man, in his late 30's, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a stocky build and weighing approximately 200 pounds.

The suspect was armed and wearing black clothing.

No one was injured.

No additional information was released Tuesday evening.
