American astronauts were scheduled to launch into space on Wednesday aboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The launch was scrubbed because of weather, but it hasn't been canceled. It was rescheduled for Saturday. So, for this week's look across the internet for virtual activities for kids, we've got a space theme. Here are 9 sites where kids can learn more about what's beyond Earth.

The Florida destination has a variety of virtual learning resources for what it calls an "out-of-this-world learning experience" from home.

Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

The New York destination offers up lessons on history, science and ingenuity each week for kids and families. Advanced registration is required for these.

California Science Center

The museum includes virtual tours inside space shuttle Endeavour, interviews with astronauts and more.

Space Center Houston

The Space Center offers up everything from a virtual campout to videos on how space station astronauts recycle water to at-home activities like how to build a sextant to determine your latitude.

U.S. Space and Rocket Center

In Huntsville, Alabama, the center's Science Never Stops series lets you search through a library of STEM-related activities.

Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum

Based in Hawaii, the museum offers up weekly inspiration, resources and discoveries through its Pearl Harbor at Home series.

Morehead Planetarium and Science Center

And, of course, the Triangle's own Morehead Planetarium is offering up all kinds of virtual activities that focus on the skies above.
