Tar Heel Traveler, Aunt Bee museum

Actress Frances Bavier died on this day in 1989 and is buried in Siler City. She played Aunt Bee on "The Andy Griffith Show." A Mount Airy hotel has turned one of its rooms into an Aunt Bee museum, filled with artifacts she owned and many that appeared on TV.
