Some NC lawmakers will benefit from state PPP tax breaks

Entities tied to at least 30 members of the North Carolina House of Representatives were approved for more than $4.8 million in forgivable federal loans over the last year. Most of those lawmakers voted last month to approve a tax break on that money, and on the other Paycheck Protection Program loans that went to more than 113,000 businesses across North Carolina.
