Some migrants released into U.S. because border stations are packed
On Tuesday, there were more than 12,000 migrants in custody at the U.S./Mexico border according to the Department of Homeland Security. The agency can only hold and process about 9,000. The most overcrowding issues are in El Paso, Texas. Capacity issues have also forced officials to release migrants from custody back into the U.S., even if they have upcoming court hearings.
