Senate prepares to vote on impeachment charges against Trump

Two weeks to the day since House managers began opening arguments, the Senate is set to vote Wednesday afternoon on impeachment charges against President Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Acquittal is a near certainty, with a 53-47 Republican majority and no members indicating they'll break with their party. It comes on the heels of his State of the Union address Tuesday night, where the president ignored impeachment to hit on the economy, immigration, and national security as he enjoys some of his highest poll numbers to-date.
