As the stalemate at the Capitol continues, World Central Kitchen, a disaster relief group founded by celebrity chef Jose Andres, has opened a pop-up restaurant to serve meals to furloughed government employees. With 800,000 federal employees and 4 million government contractors affected in the government shutdown, organizations and individuals across the country are stepping up to help out.
