Chief: No plans to arrest volunteers feeding homeless
Police Chief Cassandra Deck-Brown said on Wednesday that officers were instructed to inform groups feeding the homeless in Moore Square about a city ordinance that prohibits distributing food without a permit. She said there was never any intent to arrest them.
