Families working to restore the records of loved ones buried in unmarked graves

Vick Cemetery, along Lane Street, was the public cemetery for African-Americans in Wilson from 1913 to the 1960s. Now, descendants of families buried there are reclaiming the sacred space, starting with reconstruction service and the restoration of records.
