UNC-Chapel Hill researcher: Second case of omicron variant confirmed in North Carolina

Dirk Dittmer, a researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, confirmed to WRAL News that a second case of the coronavirus' omicron variant was found in the state Wednesday. Dittmer said he was unable to disclose where the case had been found, but he said it was not in Charlotte, where the first case was confirmed last week.
