City of Durham settles lawsuit over police chase

Brooke Lyn Maynard - an off-duty detention officer - was a 24-year-old single mom when a suspect trying to flee police crashed into her car. The city paid $2.25 million to settle with her daughter, who was only 4 years old when Maynard died.
