Brown's aunt at protest: 'We’re depending on God'

Many of the protesters in Elizabeth City on Friday were family members of Andrew Brown, including his aunt, Martha McCullan, who told reporters she is depending on God to get through what happened.

I trust God

And I know we can do anything to growth christ

and strength that so we're depending on God and I

know God will reveal to me one day and um

they mentioned about Brown's history

Did you feel like that was relevant at all to

announce that ain't got nothing to do with nothing

Nothing

Find out nothing

So how does that make this feeling How does that

hurt you even more than you already know what to

make it What hurts so bad

They haven't even reached out to his kids

They haven't even reached out to Sheriff Department haven't even

reached out to his kids

That's what make it so bad

They owe them something

And so what would help Just a little bit What

kind of transparency are you seeking What kind of transparency

are you looking for Like uh what do you want

Uh what kind of answers do you want right now

I want to know what we want to see the

footage

We want to see the furniture

that will tell us something you know Is there anything

you want to say to your family Yes

Ain't going in there

Trust God

He'll wrap his arms around you

He'll give you anything you need

Just keep trusting God
