Raleigh, N.C. — Victims' families are taking their fight over the death penalty to the North Carolina Legislature.
Murder Victims' Families for Reconciliation were at the General Assembly Thursday voicing their opposition to the death penalty.
On Wednesday, a separate group was at the Legislature lobbying for lawmakers to work to lift the present 'psuedo' moratorium. A decision on what role a doctor can play in the execution chamber remains in the courts.
