I'm meteorologist, Amy Wilmeth in the WRL severe weather center. The weather pretty quiet today, we have some clouds around. We'll get up to around 90 this afternoon. So it's still hot outside today and then late this evening and especially overnight tonight, rain chances start to go up. We're watching a disturbance over Arkansas back down into Louisiana and Texas that's headed in our direction and it brings some unsettled weather for the upcoming weekend. And as early as tonight, we could start seeing some of those showers. So here's a look at Future cast seven o'clock tonight. I'd expect most of us to stay dry. I wouldn't rule out an isolated Sprinkle or two by 7 a.m. Saturday morning. A couple of hit and miss showers will be possible, but it's not widespread rain. Really hoping things stay dry for a race for the cure. And I know we have a lot of graduations in the morning. So hopefully it stays dry through the morning hours as we get into the afternoon, we'll have some hit and miss hours and some thunderstorms and that will continue into the evening on Saturday as well. Sunday morning at 6 a.m. looks mainly dry, but as we head into lunchtime and into the afternoon and evening hit and miss showers and storms will be possible. Again, look at how much we could get anywhere from around a quarter of an inch to three quarters of an inch. And that takes us through the next seven days. And some of this rain is likely going to linger into early next week, hour by hour, rain chances for tomorrow in the morning, it looks mainly dry. We have better opportunity for some of those scattered showers and storms in the afternoon and evening hours. So just keep the umbrella with you as you're headed out and about Saturday and Sunday as well. A lot of graduation. Saturday morning, we have NC State NC Central Saint Augustine's all have graduations in the morning. It's about a 20% chance for rain. After graduation, there might be some showers. You might have to dodge some of those showers and storms while you're getting your pictures taken on Saturday for those commencement ceremonies. So 90 today, we have race for the Cure Saturday morning hoping it stays dry just a slim chance for in the morning and then scattered storms will be possible. Sunday as well. Monday and Tuesday, it's going to get hot again next week with high temperatures back in the low to mid nineties on Wednesday and Thursday.
