— A man was arrested on Thursday night in Wake County after police say he wrecked his vehicle after refusing to stop.

According to police, a Wake County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to pull a car over, but the driver, Caleb Prescott, refused. The deputy pulled back from the pursuit, and the suspect’s car crashed shortly afterward, flipping over entirely.

Prescott, 19, then ran from the crashed car, and as the K-9 unit was about to be unleashed, the driver made his way back to the scene and was taken into custody.

Police say they attempted to pull the driver over for crossing the center lines on Rock Service Station Road. While the suspect was driving erratically, another car swerved to avoid the suspect's vehicle and crashed their own car .

Prescott faces charges including careless and reckless driving. No one was injured.
