Vegan-friendly fair foods

The North Carolina State Fair is the time of year that most people tend to indulge in fried meats and deserts, however, fairgoers who practice veganism are often left out.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina State Fair is the time of year when most people indulge in fried meats and deserts, however, fairgoers who practice veganism are often left out. In order to help all fairgoers enjoy the N.C. State Fair, we have accumulated a list of vegan-friendly vendors.

1. Neomonde Mediterranean

This Mediterranean stand is located behind the Lunch Stands and features a variety of tasty options. Some of their vegan-friendly foods include hummus, chickpea fries and falafel.

2. Douglas Farms

Douglas Farms serves up sweet, fresh roasted corn. It can be served in a cup or on the cob, either way, it's delicious! The stand is located in front of the Grandstand building.

3. Tropical Delights

This smoothie stand sells a wide variety of fruit smoothies. Some of their flavors include mango, strawberry and peach. Customers also have the option of receiving their smoothie inside of a pineapple! The stand is located in front of J.S. Dorton Arena.
