Vance man wanted in two shootings

Vance County authorities were searching Friday for a man in connection with two shootings in the past two weeks.

HENDERSON, N.C. — Vance County authorities were searching Friday for a man in connection with two shootings in the past two weeks.

One man was shot on Christmas morning at 2840 U.S. Highway 158 Bypass in Henderson, and a second person was shot at 137 Sombrero Lane, also in Henderson, on Dec. 16, authorities said.

Warrants have been issued for Christopher Arendall, 28, charging him with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count each of first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Arendall is considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
