Vance County man charged with child rape
A Manson man was indicted Monday on various sex offenses, including child rape, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedMANSON, N.C. — A Manson man was indicted Monday on various sex offenses, including child rape, authorities said.
Keon C. Catlette, 19, of 1160 Buchannan Road, was charged with four counts each of first-degree rape of a child, indecent liberties and first-degree sexual offense. He was being held Tuesday in the Vance County jail under a $250,000 bond.
Catlette was arrested Sept. 9 at Northern Vance High School, where he is a student.
Authorities said the two alleged victims are girls under age 10. The alleged crimes occurred in Henderson over a six-week period in May and June 2009, authorities said.
