DURHAM, N.C. — A vacant house sustained damage after a fire early Tuesday.

A bedroom caught fire in the rental property on West Club Boulevard and Ninth Street. The house has been vacant for three or four months, officials said.

The fire was extinguished in 15 minutes, and the cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
