US Army Forces Command has new leader

Fort Bragg is under new command. On Tuesday, during a relinquishment of command ceremony, Lt. Gen. Laura J. Richardson, the FORSCOM deputy commanding general, became acting commander.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — The United States Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), which is headquartered at Fort Bragg, is under new command.

Army Gen. Robert B. "Abe" Abrams, commanding general of U.S. Army Forces Command on Fort Bragg, is leaving Fort Bragg to become commander of United States Korea.

On Tuesday, during a relinquishment of command ceremony, Lt. Gen. Laura J. Richardson, the FORSCOM deputy commanding general, became acting commander.
