Urban Ministries executive director steps down

Durham, N.C. — Urban Ministries of Durham executive director Lloyd Schmeidler has resigned, officials confirmed Saturday.

Sue Guptill, who serves as treasurer for the group’s board of directors, said Schmeidler’s last day was Oct. 3.

No information was available on why Schmeidler resigned. He had been with the organization since 2001.
