RALEIGH, N.C. — A UPS truck caught fire on Interstate 540 Saturday morning just after leaving Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

The engine and the front of the truck were destroyed when the engine burst into flames, according to the driver, who got out before he was harmed.

According to the driver, the fire department showed up "within three minutes" and quickly extinguished the fire, saving all of the packages in the back of the truck.

The cargo was transferred to another truck and sent on its way.
