ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI — A young boy has been reunited with his family after being dropped off at a private school in Bellefontaine Neighbors Friday morning.

The Bellefontaine Neighbors Police Department asked for help identifying the boy after he was dropped off at the Grace Lutheran school around 7:50 a.m. Police said the boy, who said he goes by William or Willie, was dropped off by a woman with coiled braids who was driving a small red pick-up.

According to police, the child said he is 2 years old but appeared to be possibly 3 or 4 years old.

The boy does not attend Grace Lutheran, officials said.

News 4 was at the police department when the boy was reunited with his grandmother and aunts before 11 a.m. Police said the boy appears to be in fine health and good spirits.

Officials are still working to find out the circumstances surrounding the child being dropped off at the school.
