<p>ones, I was excited, really excited and like he said, that's why I came here and that's why we all come here is to play and you know, being the biggest, biggest moments in the biggest games um going out there, I just put the fact that I was on one day's rest out of my head and I just treated it like any other start um and you know, the goal for me was to just give as much length as I couldn't give the team a chance to win. And um you know, gauge came in and picked me up and carried us a long way there as well. Um and it was just, you know, it's a great game from start to finish and I'm just, I'm just real happy for all of us, they kind of had a good game plan for you on saturday, this no matter think about that. Uh I mean, no, but our game plan here attacking them is, is pretty much similar to what we did there um and it's basically just executing pitches um as long as you do that, you know, and keep the ball down in the zone, things like that and I'm usually gonna have success, so it was just a matter of, you know, making pitches and letting the defense, make the plays, which they're, they're doing a great job of um and you know, letting the bats do the rest of the work and it all came together player of the year, working for you, wow, well that didn't know that, that's cool. Um No, I'm just, I'm just happy, I'm super happy we won. I mean that's all that's all that matters. But I guess what was that? What was working the ball was finding grass? I mean you just got to stick with it to get baseball is a game where, I mean like look at mack yesterday, the first game he hit four balls 1st 1st that bad. He got robbed from a home run and then he hit three line drives or something like that. And then then I think the next game he had like, I did not hit the ball super hard. I mean he did, I mean, um, but there's like one or two of them that just kind of dropped in there and that's just, that's just baseball. I mean that's, that's why we all love it and feeling there. Yeah. Again longer clap and you know, sort of since happening the whole scene like, you know more and more um obviously a ton of adrenaline pumping. Um it's, it's great like knowing that we're, we're playing, you're playing to go to uh super like it's, it's something I've never had a chance to really like I've been in a regional, but not the chance to really go to a super and so like coming out of junior college and then, you know, come to a place I never thought that I'd really get to like it's, it's indescribable. Really just to have the opportunity to be out there and just feel all that energy because you watching started, started jogging. Hello? Yeah, yeah, I hit it pretty good. I didn't get all of it, but I knew it, I knew it was gone. Um I just got enough of it and I knew I kept it fair, but yeah, I just kind of hidden. I started jogging if I can just take me through the thought dresses as your Christina. Um First off, I'm just, I'm just super, super proud of like everything. I mean look at you went forward and the third gave up one hit, like me and him were both old, both both jUCo guys like, yeah, we're uh we we've been through a lot and I'm just super happy like guys like, like me engaged and there's a lot of others, I mean the whole team, but just like, knowing that I did it for them, it's just makes it so much, so much better gregor than Adam. Oh, just like accomplishes what's the feeling, How are you, Then you take this 1? Um I mean it's really special, like coach always says it's it's our team, but you know, it's, it's really special to be able to do it when, when he's not here to be able to get some wins, make some big plays. Um and just, you know, it is a, it is a full team game and it takes every single person wearing the uniform coaches included and uh I think you see when everybody starts pulling for each other and starts, you know, clicking at the right time, what we're capable of doing and it's just really fun to be a part of this ride. Um yeah, I don't, I think like when he got ejected that, I think it kind of fired us up a little bit and you know, even though we, we ended up losing that game, like going into the next day. I don't think it, I don't think it really affect us because like, I mean like Schaefer said it's it's our team and I I think it's when the whole crowd heard the changes. God barbs clapping. I mean that I think that just like set another talent and just fired us up even more. I had goose bumps, goose bumps. I was pumping up the crowd. That was awesome. But yeah, I mean nick pride really stepped in when coach for us wasn't there? He was, he was imitating him pretty well. Um, but yeah, it was, we're, we're an older team. I think that helped us a lot there and just stuck to it and remember everything he tells us every day, Brendan. It's all you like beating around. I don't know what it was, it was actually from coach Gaines. I was just in his office when he called. I mean was there like a slow playing out. Well. I mean, I was hoping he was going to give me the ball tonight. So I mean, I don't know if it was slow playing or not because if he was, I was, I was gonna come out and tell him I wanted the ball. Uh so I mean I was, I was just, I was excited. I jumped up and I started started getting ready to go up to that phone call jones Through that decision earlier in the season. two certainly. Yeah, yeah, he just earned it. Um, you know, we couldn't find anybody that was really producing at the time in left field. Um, but you know, I pay attention like we should as coaches and one thing mike mike he kept doing is working. Uh it looked like his BP was getting better. Um, you know, he was just, he looked like he was ready and we put him in there. He gave us that spark, he's a switch hitter. Um, you know, he's got that, that he can jump a heater like he did today and he's got some pop. Uh so you know, it's a credit to Mikey. He was just ready for the opportunity and, and you know, it really solidified our lineup questions for the players go ahead regional. So this should be good. Yeah, I mean, you know, you heard coach say he's just a really special player. He's electric out there being a switch hitter helps a lot, but just having his presence in the lineup, I mean and out there in left field, just it just, you know, it sparks everybody up. I mean, he's always got energy. He's always upbeat pulling for every single person. Um and he's, you know, he's a jUCo band that we're all bandaged up here and you know, you know, they're just they're tough players. Uh and I love playing with him, I love playing, I hate playing against him. So, you know, it's it's fun, it's a brotherhood. I gotta add to that. You know, I was a jUCo bandit too, so you probably don't know what we're talking about, but unless you've been in a jUCo for a full season, you would never know. Yeah, I mean, me and Mikey came in here together in summer school, we roomed together and so like he since then he's always been just one of the hardest workers on the team.</p>

I'm meteorologist, Kat Campbell and the wr severe weather center, the wr weather alert day will go into tomorrow. We have seen our first round of storms clear the area, but overnight we expect more storms to move in between about three and 9 a.m. Those should be more widespread but with a little bit less energy in the atmosphere, the primary concern there would be damaging winds and then we'll have a low storm threat as we head into tomorrow afternoon. So let's take a look at future casts. Storms continue to clear out from the early evening round. We should be dry 1011 midnight. It's not until about three or 4 a.m. that we begin to see storms move into our western counties and those are going to be with us during the early morning hours. 6 a.m. Rain could be around on a pretty widespread basis, impacting the morning commute. We'll see a good chance for rain seven perhaps lingering into 89 o'clock. After that, we should start to see the rain pushing out and storm chances would be pretty low for the remainder of the day. But in the morning, beware of rain and storms at the bus stop. You may want to wait in the car with your kids if you're able to, especially if there's any thunder or lightning around. Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner will keep you up to date on that starting at 430 tomorrow on wr news. So be sure to check in with her before you leave the house and head to the bus stop. The good news is storms clear out just in time for Saturday and Sunday. We'll still have some scattered storms around Friday afternoon. Saturday though, it is cooler. It's drier, not so humid. 74 partly cloudy, a 20% chance for rain. Very, very late Saturday night and most of us aren't going to see that 79 for Mother's Day on Sunday. It ends up being a beautiful and dry day for Mother's Day 59 at 8 a.m. 70 by lunchtime upper seventies for the afternoon. And we get a break from the big heat. No more nineties on our seven day forecast, high temperatures are going to be still above normal most days, but a bit closer to normal for this time of year in the seventies and eighties, at least Thursday remains a WRL weather alert day, at least during the morning hours. Friday, we've got some scattered storms a 50% chance. Those are more typical afternoon, summertime storms and then over the weekend things look pretty nice. Overall, the humidity drops in a significant way this weekend we stay pretty comfortable on Monday of next week, but late Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, we could see a soaking round of rain arrive. Certainly good news that we are seeing the rain around here. We just don't need these, the storm threat to go with it.
